Feed My Team!

logo-feedMyTeamMonday Oct. 26 marked the  inaugural taping of Feed My Team, a unique web series showcasing first-class athletes mixing it up inside the professional kitchen.

Featuring Chef Steve Schimoler, Browns tackle Joe Thomas, and the crew of Nehst Studios (the newest addition to Cleveland’s growing film scene), the Oct. 26th taping was the first in a planned series of Feed My Team webisodes, pairing the drama of a restaurant with the power of pro sports. The evening quickly grew into a gala downtown event, with scores of guests (including many of Joe’s teammates) who feasted on Joe’s fabulous cuisine and served as  cast for the serie’s debut. More episodes yet to come; check back often for taping schedules and details. (And Facebook users, check out the full photo album here.)

About Feed My Team: Conceived by Chef Steve Schimoler and implemented by Cleveland’s own Nehst Studios, Feed My Team challenges professional athletes to prepare their favorite meal from scratch and serve it to their teammates, following them through the entire process — from planning and preparation to service and dessert.

A natural interviewer and teacher, Schimoler coaxes out the players’ food memories and associations, helping add their personal “flavor” to the dishes they create. Along the way, expect pressures to mount, emotions to rise, and more than one burly player to face the heat of the professional kitchen!
